  1. Our tradition was to go cut down a Christmas tree together and decorating together. A new tradition we have with our family is making nativity scenes out of what ever craft materials we have at home πŸ™‚

  2. My family goes to a rest home on Christmas Eve to sing carols and pass out candy canes. We aren't the best of singers but for the most part they dig it. The candy cane part is also pretty funny since several will try to eat it with the wrapper on. I am sure we are creating more work for the staff, but it is a good time.

  3. My favorite tradition is keeping A Christmas Story on the TV all day while it's on TBS. I see someone already said that, but it's really the best thing ever πŸ™‚

  4. I am really grumpy about Christmas until I get the tree set up. I like sitting in the living room at night with just the Christmas lights turned on. It gets me in the Christmas spirit.

  5. I have too many traditions about Christmas that I love, making and eating Christmas goodies, going caroling with my family, watching the lights on the tree by the fireplace, and making an extra effort to spend time with family and friends. (I do have to say that when I was little my dad always made us read The Christmas Carol as a family, and at age five I really wasn't into it, but now Dickens is one of my favorite authors.)

  6. We have a Christmas pickle on our tree and who ever finds it first gets the 20 dollars inside the pickle! Also it is our tradition to bake a spice cake for Christmas….that has been a tradition in our family for many years. Oh,and the christmas pickle isn't a real pickle. haha!

    1. Yeah I just leave that to the parents. My idea of wrapping is sticking it in a grey grocery sack and wrapping it around itself until you can't tell what's inside it πŸ™‚
